What department do you work in and what is your job title?
I work in the Kalispel Casino in Information Technology as Desktop Support.
How long have you been employed by the Tribe?
Not only do I get to help people with problems they wouldn’t be able to solve on their own, but I also have time to study to improve my IT skills when I’m not helping people.
What’s the best thing about your job?

What’s the best thing about Kalispel Tribe?
The best thing about the Kalispel Tribe is their sense of community. They like to do things that benefit the community around them. The Camas Center for Community Wellness is a good example of that.
What does your workspace look like?
I work in a cubicle next to one of my coworkers. I have a lot of artwork up on my cubicle walls along with a few pictures of my dog.
Why did you want to come work for Kalispel Tribe?
I honestly didn’t know too much about the Tribe when I applied for employment, but I had heard about and had used the Camas Center and had attended the fourth of July fireworks event several times before. I knew from reading the newspaper that the Camas Center for Community Wellness was never meant to be for exclusive use by the Tribe and that the Tribe was encouraging the community to come to use the center. I thought it was a very nice gesture and thought that working for the Tribe might be nice
What are your hobbies?
I like to do crafts. I make my own Jewelry. Some examples are chainmail bracelets, beaded bracelets, and paracord bracelets.
What or who inspires you?
An accepting community inspires me. When people welcome you in, regardless of your background, I find that rather inspiring.
What are the words you live by?
I strive to treat other people how I would like to be treated and to dream big, not only to dream but to work towards making those dreams a reality.
How do you define success?
I would define success as achieving the goals I have set out for myself and then making new goals to strive for. Never becoming stagnant, always learning, always growing.
What is your favorite event that Kalispel Tribe puts on?
Honestly, it’s the fireworks show on the fourth of July. It’s always a lot of fun every year!
What are five words (or less) of advice for others in your profession?
Always keep learning and keep pushing for bigger and greater things. Study hard and break the boundaries and limits that you think define you.
